19 weeks….mangos, heirloom tomatoes, my leg and a softball

30 Aug

This week, according to baby center my little sibling measures about about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom – about the size of a large heirloom tomato. It’s arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of the body now. According to the bump the baby is the size of a mango, and his boys can swim the baby is the size of a baseball. According to me, my little sibling is the size (length wise at least) of three/fourths (to mom’s finger) of my long legs!!

Mom was formally offered and accepted her new position this week! We’re all excited that it is permanent and Mom has one less thing to stress about.

Also this week, Mom’s been craving peaches, oranges and Little Ceasar’s crazy bread (Dad got her some but no one shared!). She felt what may have been the baby moving around on Saturday and Sunday. She’s not positive it was the baby, but it’s pretty exciting.

Mom has also been having weird dreams. On Sunday, Mom dreamt that my sibling was born at 19 weeks. The baby was okay but had to be in an incubator for one month. Immediately after the delivery, Mom, Dad and all the grandparents went to Le Peep, leaving the baby alone at the hospital.

Kate visited this weekend too! We enjoyed having her here with us and reintroducing her to all the goodness that is Chicago!

We’re all very excited for the week ahead! Aunt Tina and Uncle Mark are getting married on Saturday and a week from tomorrow Mom will have an ultrasound to find out the sex of my sibling! We are so excited!!
