29 Weeks!

8 Nov

This week my little brother is the size of a butternut squash (according to http://www.thebump.com). The Bump also says the little guy’s energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath his skin. And since he’s growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb–which basically means Mom’s getting kicked more! Mom has been feeling pretty good lately, though she gets really tired by the end of the day, which sometimes means a proper afternoon nap for me (on the weekends)!

This weekend Caroline came to visit from Alabama! Mom met her at Midway Airport and they took the el back into the city. Dinner was at Hugo’s Frog. The next morning, Mom, Dad and Caroline woke up very early to go to the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k. Mom and Caroline walked and Dad ran! They had a lot of fun to see the sun rising over Lake Michigan and walking through the city! Then it was shopping on Michigan Ave. Caroline got a cute makeup bag from Tory Burch and Mom got some clothes at Gap. They also visited Sprinkles cupcakes and brought some yummy cupcakes home for dessert (no one got me a pup cake though…). Then, Mom and Dad made a yummy dinner at home, followed by the yummy cupcakes! Sunday was another baby shower for my brother. Lots of family and friends came out to celebrate my little brother, and he is truely loved. Barb, Caroline, Libby and Tina did a great job planning and throwing a beautiful shower! Here are some pictures from the event.

Special Thanks to Mary HT For the photos!

Luckily, Mom was pretty wiped out after the shower, so we took a proper nap before unpacking some of my brother’s things. Dad had to go back out to the suburbs to pick up the remaining items! All while I take a nap…..
